4 Ways to Promote An Event Year-Round

Event Design

Throwing a large-scale event is a stressful task. Organizers are often overwhelmed with planning logistics, organizing their event team, and gathering attendees for their big day. With all these important pieces to focus on, it's not hard to feel overwhelmed at the idea of promoting the event too. Luckily, there are several simple strategies you can implement to promote your event and spread your reach year-round. Here are 4 ways to get started:

1. Create partnerships: Partnerships are an important part of an event. By creating them, organizers are able to share ideas and reach larger audiences. Ask your partners to promote your event via email, their social media channels, and on their website.

2. Use social media: Social media engagement is an essential part of any event marketing campaign. Organizers can monitor and post themselves or hire ambassadors to spread event news, create hashtags, and find sponsors simply by going online.

3. Blog: Blogging is a great way to keep the community in the know. Share updates about an upcoming event while featuring other events in the community. Audiences will love this and are more likely to attend if they feel that they are attached in some way. Hire someone to help with this or delegate 1-2 blog posts to each person on your event team.

4. Get feedback: Organizers should ask for suggestions from their target audience. Figure out what they enjoy and work to give them what they want. By doing this, planners will establish trust and a greater sense on what really works for their company.

Organizing an event is a stressful task. One of the most stressful parts of event planning is gathering an audience for the big day. Doing this takes time and a lot of dedication, but having people at your event is really what all your work is for. As you make a plan to promote an event, keep it simple: create partnerships, use social media, regularly blog, and gather feedback. And remember - time is on your side! Start early, and your efforts will go a long way.
